TEXTILE FOR THREE GENERATIONS...
Armand Gilleman creates in Renaix in 1921 a representation company for the account of Belgian spinning mills and selling textile yarns exclusively on the Belgian market.
Jean-Jacques Gilleman, Armand Gilleman's son, joins the agency in 1950 and develops sales in finding new suppliers, mainly in Italy, Spain, China, Thailand and India.
Pierre Gilleman, Jean-Jacques Gilleman's son, joins the company in 1980. He concentrates essentially on trading activities, initiated by his predecessor. He develops trading with other yarns in partnership with suppliers allover the world and initiates sells of yarns outside Belgium.
In 1992, the company increases its capital to 100 MF.
in 1998, capital is increased to 3.75 M EUR.
From 2001 on, various subsidiaries are opened abroad : Gilleman Spain, Gilleman Italy, Gilleman Hong Kong, Gilleman USA. |

CREATION OF GILLEMAN LOGISTICS
In 2001, Pierre Gilleman creates the new company "Gilleman Logistics". Located in Tournai, in the Industrial Zone of "Tournai Ouest", its modern warehouse, fully automated and totally customs bounded, offers a storage capacity of 7500 m2.
2006 :
- Building of a second warehouse located "Rue Grande Couture" in Tournai, additional storage capacity of 5000 m2
- Opening of a Representative Office in Shanghai, China
- Opening of a Representative Office in Cheb, Czech Republic
2007 :
- Opening of an office in Shenzhen, China
2009 :
- Building of a third warehouse located "Rue du Bois des Hospices" in Tournai, additional storage capacity of 19 000 m2. |
